For starters: Rays at Tigers, with Sucre getting more time
UPDATE, 5:40: It sounds like at least a shift in plans for Rays behind the plate with Sucre starting two straight, Cash saying he has done "a nice job" with the pitchers and "earned an opportunity to get more reps back there.'' ... Obviously the playing time will change when Wilson Ramos returns, eyeing next Sunday, June 25, but for now it sounds like it will be more Sucre and less Derek Norris. ... Beckham said he is good to go and should be able to stay in the lineup every day. ... Cash reiterated on the need for the team to tighten up its defense, saying "clean baseball is winning baseballl.'' ... The Tigers put Victor Martinez on the DL and called up C John Hicks.

UPDATE, 3:20: Jesus Sucre is getting a second straight start behind the plate, and SS Tim Beckham is indeed back in the lineup. Also of note, Souza is hitting leadoff.
DEVELOPING: The Rays take on the Tigers again tonight, looking to bounce back from their frustrating walkoff loss on Thursday.
RHP Erasmo Ramirez will on the mound for the Rays, confident he will have better results than Saturday, when he allowed a career-high matching 10 hits. First innings have been an issue, too, as he has allowed runs in five of his six starts.
The bigger issue for the Rays may be in having LHP Daniel Norris on the mound for the Tigers. The Rays' 8-15 record against lefty starters is the second worst in the AL, and has been a major topic of discussion.
SS Tim Beckham is expected to be back in the Rays lineup for the first time since Sunday, returning to action late in Thursday's game after sitting out with a sore right knee.
The Tigers are likely to be without DH Victor Martinez, who was hospitalized after Thursday's game due to an illness.
Lineups when available.
