Forecast: Slight reprieve, but heat returning to Tampa Bay ... along with some rain

The Tampa Bay area is experiencing a brief reprieve from this week's stretch of summer-like heat, but after another warm afternoon, things will ease up heading into early next week.

Feels-like temperatures around the Tampa Bay area

Lower humidity is creating more pleasant Friday morning, with wake-up temperatures in the upper 50s in some areas and primarily in the 60s across the region, 10Weather WTSP meteorologist Grant Gilmore said.

But highs will again climb into the upper-80s under mostly sunny skies, with a small chance of rain primarily south of Interstate 4, where clouds will be more prevalent today.

Lows will drop into the upper-60s.

Temperatures on Saturday will reach the mid to upper 80s, and will drop slightly on Sunday as moisture builds from the south, generating partly cloudy skies and an increased rain chance.

A cold front, moving in from the west, will generate rain chances and drop temperatures slightly heading into next week.
