U-G-L-Y, these uniforms ain't got no alibi

Ugly or no? That's the debate surround the University of Florida's latest football uniform. (University of Florida)

Ugly or no? That's the debate surround the University of Florida's latest football uniform. (University of Florida)

After Florida unveiled this week's new alternate Gators-like uniforms Monday night, the Twitter reaction was swift — and not very kind.

While recruits might like them (and maybe they look better in person), we're not fans. That got us wondering: What other uniforms join these scaly monstrosities as the worst in recent college football history?

Day-Glo Oregon

Yellow is fine as an accent. Not so much as the main attraction.

Maize Michigan

See above.

What the … Wyoming?

I don't get the camo thing. It looks like someone splattered yellow paint on the Cowboys' shoulders and legs. Missed a spot, guys.

Sam Houston State's mistake

I didn't like Jackson Pollock when I had to take an art history class in college. I certainly don't like his work on a football field.

Mixed-up Maryland

It's supposed to look like the state flag. I get it. But there are other, less awful ways to accomplish that goal.

Oh, no, Ohio State

The Gators aren't the only blue-blood program that can abandon respected, classic uniforms for no particular reason.
