2Free Ferry Rides: The Cross-Bay Ferry is offering a free "Test the Waters" ride Sunday for the 50-minute trip across Tampa Bay between downtown St. Petersburg and the Tampa Convention Center. The free rides are first-come, firs-served and cannot be reserved in advance. So your best bet to get the time you want is to go to the ticket office when it opens at 7 a.m. because the day's tickets are often sold out by noon.
